We recently finished the design and documentation for rePatcher: a mini-modular synth interface for MAX/MSP and Pure Data.
rePatcher is an Arduino shield that has a 6 x 6 patchbay matrix that allows you to control data flow with a physical interface. It also has 6 general purpose control knobs. We’re hoping it will eventually be used to control other digital music programs (Reason would be a good candidate), or built into a road-worthy case with banana jacks and big knobs. Heck, why not hide the computer inside as well, and see how many people you can impress with your tiny, old-skool modular synth!
Check out the rePatcher page for more details.

I was dreaming about this for last years. I finally can control my computer like a modular synth. Muahahah. Thank you!
This is great… Now I have to wonder about what the ultimate patch is I could make that makes the best use of the interconnections… I’m going to be up all night!
